Q: What is a Preprint?
A: A preprint is basically a copy of an autograph! A busy celebrity will sign a photo and then have thousands of copies made. Then when they receive a request their secretary just sends one of those thousands of copies. Generally preprints are thought to be of little or no value to your collection. I keep them in my collection because they can be used for comparison.
